About Tim Hill

Present Ministry

Bishop Tim Hill currently serves as the Administrative Bishop of Tennessee, continuing a lifetime of faithful leadership in the Church of God. Prior to this role, he served as General Overseer, providing spiritual oversight to more than 8.3 million members and nearly 42,000 churches across 192 countries and territories worldwide.

His ministry today is centered on strengthening the local church, encouraging pastors, and advancing the mission of sharing the Gospel. With a deep passion for the work of God, Bishop Hill remains committed to seeing lives transformed and the Church empowered for global impact.

Ministry Journey

Bishop Hill’s calling to ministry began at an early age, setting the course for decades of service in pastoral, evangelistic, and administrative leadership. He has served in a variety of roles within the Church of God, including as a member of the Executive Committee and as Director of World Missions.

A graduate of Lee University and the Pentecostal Theological Seminary, where he earned a Master of Arts in Church Ministries, his journey reflects a lifelong commitment to leadership, spiritual formation, and the growth of the Church.

Global Impact

Throughout his ministry, Bishop Hill has traveled extensively across the United States and around the world, ministering in denominational and interdenominational conventions, camp meetings, and conferences.
His leadership in global missions and international ministry has helped expand the reach of the Gospel while strengthening churches and developing leaders across nations. Whether speaking to large gatherings or local congregations, his message consistently points to the transforming power of Christ.

Bishop Hill is the author of numerous books, including Beyond the Mist, Church Planting America, The Holy Spirit, The Amos Paradigm, Life in the Exit Row, Finish Commitment, The Essential Alignment of Priorities, Paradigms and Purpose, Now, Listen to Me Church, Furnace Grace, and Pentecost Again.

In addition to his books, he has written eight volumes of sermons and more than 150 gospel songs. Many of his songs have been recorded by leading gospel musicians, choirs, and both contemporary and traditional artists, extending his ministry through music as well as preaching.

Personal Life

Bishop Hill is married to his wife, Paula, and together they have three daughters and five grandchildren. His life and ministry are deeply rooted in faith, family, and a lifelong commitment to serving others.
